Hey guys, happy Monday..........
Hope your week went well?
Today's review is from one of my favourite personal development authors. Brain Tracy. I'll give this book a million stars, cos it has changed my life.

I'll be sharing the 21 great ways to stop procrastination and get more done in less time.
You can get control of your time and life only by changing the way you think, work and deal with the never-ending river of responsibilities that flows over you each day.
Brain Tracy-Eat that frog.
Your frog, is your biggest task. The one you're mist likely to procrastinate on if you don't do something about it.
1 Set The Table: Basically, this is just planning. Before you start a task, no matter how important or insignificant it is, plan out strategies on how to tackle the task. It makes it easier and faster.
2 Plan Everyday In Advance:
The 6p formula: Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance.
Plan your day the night before. Have xyz ready so when you wake, you have a direction and you're focused and not busy doing nothing.
3 Apply The 80/20 Rule To Everything: Consider the number of task vs the importance of the task, with the most important tasks first. 20% of your activity, will account to 80% of your results. Focus on the activity not the accomplishment.
4 Consider The Consequences: Use they law of Forced Efficiency that states" there is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important thing. Do the important tasks first,(eat your biggest frog first) no matter how hard it might be.
5 Practice Creative Procrastination: To be honest, I didn't know they was a thing as creative procrastination till I read this book. Creative procrastination is simply setting priority over posteriority. (I.e deciding on the exact thing you are to do right now and if ever.) Procrastinate on purpose and do the things that enhances the quality of your life.
6 Use The ABCDE Method Continually: Its a simple way of prioritising by placing your task in categories A-E(A been the highest,)
7 Focus On Key Result Area: The key result area here, is a task you alone is responsible for, and if not dine by you, its not done at all.
8 Apply The Law of Three: Find three things that if done, will create a massive change in your life, focus on them first.
9 Prepare Thoroughly Before You Begin: The best way to overcome procrastination or get things done faster, is to have everything you need in hand before you begin. Just start, get everything ready and close to you, so you don't have to leave to find it or get it.
10 Take It One Barrel At a Time:
How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time.
Don't see the big task in front of you, break them into smaller tasks and deal with them one at a time.
11 Upgrade Your Key Skill: The major reason for procrastination is the feeling of inadequacy and lack of confidence. Learn what you need to learn, so you can be more productive and effective in your tasks. Read, take online courses, listen to audio programs. The more you learn and know, the more confident and motivated you feel.
12 Leverage Your Special Talent: Note what you do that really makes a difference in your life, identity what you do well and most enjoy; concentrate on that task/activity exclusively.
13 Identify Your Key Constraints: Know your limiting factor, tackle it and take action immediately.
14 Put The Pressure On Yourself: Create imaginary deadlines, always look for ways to go the extra miles and do more. Form the habit of putting pressure on yourself and not waiting for someone to do it.
15 Maximize Your Personal Power: Find time to rest, the more you work, your productivity level reduces, work at your pace and when you're at your best.
16 Motivate Yourself Into Action: You must learn to become a complete optimist, boost your self-esteem,develop your mental attitude become your own cheerleader. Make progress rather than excuses.
17 Get Out Of The Technology Time Sinks: For you to stay calm, clear headed and capable of performing at your best, you need to detach on a regular basis from the technology and communication devices that can overwhelm you if you're not careful.
18 Slice&Dice The Task: Be action oriented. Use the salami sliced method( dealing with your task bit by bit) or the swiss cheese (dealing with a part of your task, leaving it half done to another task) Personally,I prefer the salami sliced method, tried Swiss cheese and I still have some tasks half doneπŸ˜”.
19 Create a Large Chunks Of Time: Schedule a fixed time period for a particular activity or task and make every minute count.
20 Develop a Sense of Urgency: Get on with a task quickly and get it fine with as fast as possible. A sense of urgency shifts you automatically on to the fast track in completing your task.
21 Single Handle Every Task: Once you start, get going and keep going. Don't waste time. Have self-discipline.
Thank you guys for staying this long.(sorry the post is kinda lengthy. Tried my best to make it short) I hope you've learnt a lot cos I was really enriched when I read this book. Lets hear your thoughts in the comment section. Will you be trying these this out? Or you're at the too of your game already and don't procrastinate. Lucky you.
Don't forget like and share. See you on Monday.
